6 gorgeous places you need to have brunch in Dublin 8 this weekend

For the weekend that’s in it.

1. The Fumbally

Since it opened in 2012, The Fumbally has become a bit of Dublin 8 institution. It’s not just a neighbourhood café, but a destination café that people flock to in their droves every weekend.

And with good reason — the food is spectacular and the atmosphere is something else. Only downside is that it tends to get a bit chaotic on the weekends with people queuing out the door to order and get a table. Our advice? Get there early and savour the eggs.

2. Meet Me In The Morning

The Pleasants Street café has only been around since April, but it has already made its mark. With almost-too-pretty-to-eat lunches, divine treats and gorgeous coffee, it’s the place to be. (Pro-tip: get the Nut Eile.)

Plus it has a neat little outdoor area out front that’s perfect for catching a few rays. Win win.

3. Sister Sadie

If giant pork sandwiches or middle eastern hotpots sound like they’re up your street, then Brother Hubbard’s little sibling is the place to go. It has it all — glorious coffee, cheeky cocktails and enough food to feed a small family.

The icing on the cake? It boasts a large outdoor seating area that’s perfect for sunning yourself and enjoying coffee. *praise hands*

4. Bibi’s

There’s a reason why Bibi’s brunch brings all the Dublin 8ers to the yard. You’ll find all the usuals here — eggs, pancakes, granola — but with a few unexpected touches. (Sweetcorn, jalapeno and coriander fritters with bacon, anyone?)

The perfect place for brunchin’ and chattin’.

5. Pupp

Finally, we have Pupp, which holds the distinction of being Dublin’s first dog-friendly café. But it’s not just a place to gawk at dogs. In fact, they do a pretty ace brunch.

Whether you’re craving a dirty fry or fancy a paleo almond pancake, there’s something for everyone. Plus: puppies!
